Diets are guaranteed to be weight loss failures if you don’t treat yourself on occasion. You do not have to suffer without any sweet treats. This weight loss tip will focus on diet treats that you can enjoy whenever the urge hits.

  • Cinnamon toast with no-calorie spray is easy to make at home and can add a bonus of nutrition to your diet if you use whole grain bread for it. Simply spray no-cal butter substitute spray on your bread and toast it in a toaster oven until golden in color. Sprinkle on a sugar substitute such as Splenda and enjoy. If you do not like sugar substitutes, you can make the cinnamon toast without it. The butter substitute and cinnamon make the bread sweet and toasting it gives it just a hint of crunch to satisfy your baked goods/pastry craving.
  • Other diet treats include yogurt with fresh fruit and a topping of low fat whipped cream. You can sprinkle it with cinnamon for added sweetness. Baking fresh fruit such as apples or peaches is also a yummy diet treat that warms your tummy. Use a no-cal spray, a hint of brown sugar, and a low fat whipped topping to make it more treat like.
  • Jell-O is also low calorie and can be topped with whipped cream. Whipped cream is a great addition to many diet treats because it has no calories, making it an ideal sweetener for weight loss. You can even add it to your coffee and skip the cream and sugar.
  • The desire for ice cream is easy to combat with the many delicious low fat frozen yogurt options available. There are also tofu ice cream alternatives that you can enjoy for a healthy dessert. These ice cream alternatives can also be used to make ice cream shakes in your blender.

While you have your blender out, try making some sweet beverage diet treats. Smoothies can satisfy your desire for dessert and can be packed with protein, too. Chocolate whey powder, fat free milk, vanilla yogurt, natural peanut butter, hazelnut coffee, and caramel ice cream can all be blended with some ice cubes for a great tasting diet treat.

Diets have to include treats or you will feel like your diet is a punishment instead of a healthy lifestyle solution. Don’t let any weight loss tip scare you away from enjoying the sweet stuff. Just indulge in diet treats without abusing them.
