When pursuing weight loss, you may suffer from the feeling that the only way to experience diet success is to prohibit yourself from eating certain foods. One of these food items is anything that is considered dessert.

Make wise dessert choices. For instance, try making a diet treat of bread pudding with two slices of low calorie bread that is cooked in the microwave. Sprinkle the bread with:

  • No calorie sweetener
  • Cinnamon
  • No calorie butter spray
  • ½ cup of skim or fat free milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/3 of a chopped apple

After four minutes in the microwave you will have a delicious low calorie dessert.

Bake some apples for another weight loss treat. This is another easy, low calorie dessert. Simply cut up the apples and place in a dish sprayed with no calorie butter spray. Then, season the apples with a no calorie sweetener and cinnamon. The result is a healthy dessert that is quite satisfying.

Animal crackers are another wise dessert choice. If you are craving something sweet, snack on a few animal crackers to take away that sweet craving. Animal crackers are high in protein and low in sugar.
