Whether or not you are trying to lose weight, chances are you have experienced food cravings. The key to combating food cravings is to make weight loss friendly choices so that you satisfy the food craving without undoing your weight loss progress.

Combating Cake Cravings

When pursuing weight loss, you have to figure out a way to combat those cake cravings. Try doing this: the next time you want cake, opt for angel food cake. By making this choice, you can cut your cake calories in half.

Combating Pie Cravings

When pursuing weight loss during the holidays, you might need to learn how to combat pie cravings. This craving can be quite challenging with pumpkin pie, pecan pie, apple pie, or cherry pie calling out to you. Combating Ice Cream Cravings

The last craving that many of us have to combat during weight loss is ice cream cravings. A great way to combat these cravings is to opt for sugar free or fat free frozen yogurt. You can scoop 100 calories off your serving by choosing yogurt over ice cream.

Types of Cravings

When working towards a weight loss goal, you will be faced with many food temptations. You can avoid cravings by knowing how to combat it when it happens. Follow the tools above or use the ones below:

  • Avoiding sweet cravings may be as easy as munching on sweet fruit
  • Avoid salt cravings by choosing to munch on a low sodium pickle
  • Avoid creamy cravings by eating sugar free and fat free yogurts which are high in protein
