A great weight loss tip is to always choose wisely when selecting breads. The best breads are those that are calcium fortified and made with good grains. Examples of good whole grains are pumpernickel, rye, and wheat.

Good Whole Grains

Wheat Bread

For optimum weight loss when buying wheat bread, be sure and read the label to make sure the first ingredient is whole wheat flour. The bread label should also say 100% whole wheat or 100% whole grain, not enriched, remember? Wheat bread averages 69 calories for one slice with less than one gram of fat, almost two grams of sugar, and four grams of protein.
